Reminiscent of games like Fruit Ninja, the Moving Targets game engine created an interactive experience where users were prompted to catch as many of the moving targets as possible in a pre-set limited amount of time.
The game offered flexibility with the speed, randomness, and difficulty settings. Instead of simply slicing an item, it could trigger any kind of animation or reveal a prize. For instance, for Happy Meal we customized the game to have Happy Meals vanish in a poof of smoke to reveal the current marketing campaign’s toys.
I helped to spec out the unit with a focus on ability to quickly recreate the unit for any number of advertisers. This included making templates and spec sheets that helped ensure the unit would quick to create even with completely customized designs. The templates used generous and clever (if I do say so myself) use of Smart Objects to streamline and improve efficiency.
Collaborating with Product Managers, Developers, and Internal Stakeholders, I helped to shape the specs, dimensions, user interface, and user experience for this unit.

I devised a PSD template with all the pertinent notes and details so that new designers or third party designers could easily create the unit exactly to spec each time.
