A simple end-of-year thank you card that was sent via email by the Creative Management team for OMG23 who works with the Walt Disney Studios. The goal of the card was to list all of the projects worked on over the year and to offer thanks as well as a happy holiday.
The goal was to keep this simple for an email send-out, especially since the list of titles was so long. The eye-catching “OMG What a Year” was an expression that plays off the company’s name and I incorporated a custom snowflake for some additional flair. The remainder of the email graphic is mostly copy with some additional falling snowflakes and a subtle blue gradation in the background to carry the eye through the whole piece.
I wrote the initial draft of copy which was further refined by internal stakeholders.
Custom Snowflake
I developed a custom snowflake that capitalized on celebrating the Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary as well as the year 1923. The snowflake is made up of a symmetrical hexagonal shake that features a Mickey head silhouette, the number 100, the roman numeral for 100 (which is C), and the roman numeral 23 (XXIII).
Every single line used in the snowflake serves as an homage to the landmark centennial celebration.
