2018 Total Beauty Awards | Brand Development

I oversaw the creation and implementation of all visual aesthetics, branding, and collateral for the 2018 Total Beauty Awards.

Every year, the industry-leading award program is recognized by magazines and major beauty product brands for culling a vast array of beauty products on the market to select the best of the best every single year.

Facilitating this massive undertaking includes a lot of creative solutions including the creation of Seal Guidelines, branding elements, collateral, web graphics, newsletters, promotional material, etc.

Seal Usage Guidelines

Re-purposing from a design created by a colleague, Leny Evangelista, we created a PDF document template that could easily be updated from year to year by simply swapping out seals and images. Below is a sample of the complete 21-page Usage Guidelines. This document is used both internally for promotion and externally by winning clients.

Key Image

Selecting the key image is the primary feature since the Seal Guidelines remain consistent from year to year. That image is then used for all collateral for that respective year.

Winner Promotion

Below is a sample of creatives for AFTER a winner is chosen including the Winner Promotional Ads — which lead to the Winner Landing Page — and the Congrats Letter to winners with a box of beauty supplies and further instruction about their winning products.

Recognition

The Total Beauty Awards are an esteemed indicator in the world of beauty and the seal bears significance for products. It’s licensed use can be found on leading beauty products across the wide array of makeup and beauty products. Below are just a few of the many examples of seal usage.
