TeenSpot | Logo and Brand Identity (2011)

We redesigned a very popular but very out-of-date website to match more modern sensibilities. The website was updated with new ad opportunities to allow it to be more effectively sold to advertisers and increase usability for user database of thousands of passionate fans. As part of the update we created a new logo, inspired by its former iteration and emphasized bright energetic colors through-out.

Logo

Emphasizing the chat and forums aspect which were the most popular features we integrated a subtle callout of a speech bubble in the logo. This motif would be used in greater effect through-out the rest of the brand identity.

Business Cards

Collaborating with a production designer, we created a new way for Sales and Marketing to make a statement with their business cards — literally, by using speech bubbles in the design language.

Website

Some sections of the site (greyed out in the mocks below) were unable to be changed for the redesign due to the complex nature of the site’s build but for the most part we were able to take a completely fresh approach to mocking up an energetic website for teens and youth.
